ABOUT ME

If you've clicked through to this page, I want to say thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me.​

Ever since I was in elementary school I enjoyed sharing stories. It's no wonder that I jumped into the world of journalism in college and got my first full time paying newspaper job before I even graduated with my BS in English. ​A lot has changed over the past 25 years. My career has taken me from sports writer to Editor to PR specialist and podcaster. But all of those positions have one thing in common - storytelling.  At the heart of all of those stories are amazing people, who have trusted me over the years to share their stories, highlight their accomplishments and even allowed me to voice an opinion or two in some viewpoints.  

I grew up just south of St. Louis Missouri and was among the last to graduate in the 20th century from the  University of Missouri-Columbia. There I earned a Bachelors of Arts in English with an emphasis on Communications. ​Change has been a constant throughout my career, but that's not to say I'm unstable. In fact I've been in at least two roles for more than 10 years each, and the only reasons I moved on was for new adventure and new opportunity. ​​​

In fact, that's where I find myself once again in 2025. After 10 plus years working PR and writing about healthcare - specifically in the cancer space - I've decided to focus on freelance work and enjoy travel and new people while discovering fascinating stories to tell. I hope you will allow me to tell my stories through whatever medium you prefer. Print, digital, video - I've done it all and I've always approached every project with a fresh perspective and a goal of ensuring whomever I'm writing about and/or for is comfortable and informed with my progress

I've been lucky enough to receive several awards for my writing and to work for some incredible editorial teams. ​Today my interests are in podcasting, freelance writing,  fitness training and history.​Thank you for getting to know me a little bit better.
